Penguin Badge

FitBit says I have walked the equivalent of a penguin's march to the sea, about 70 miles, since I started wearing this thing.

That would be about 70 miles.

I've lost about 5 pounds so far, with no effort other than moving more.

I'm 26 steps from 5,000 steps today (it's 4 pm) so I'm getting up to 'conquer' that.

Goodbye, T-Bone

Alas, little T-Bone passed away the other night. I checked under his bedding and he was cold. He was about 3, I think, so I'm pretty sure he died of old age. He was a sweet animal and I hope he is enjoying life across the Rainbow Bridge!

Valentine's Day

I made cookies and cupcakes.

The cupcakes were chocolate with cream cheese icing. Forgot to take a picture.

Snowstorm

Yesterday, the temps hit nearly 60 degrees, and today we are in the midst of a big snowstorm! I think we're expecting about a foot of snow by the time it is done.

Mike takes out his snowblower to get rid of some of the snow in the driveway.

Valentine's Hutch Decor

This is how I did up my hutch for February:

I found the red goblets wrapped up in a box in my garage. They are from Mike's mother and are probably very old. I thought they would look very pretty with all the red Valentine's decor!
