Well, if there is a Heaven, Mom's already at rest, but as of this past Wednesday (March 28) her ashes are in the hands of Calverton Cemetery. They will be interred next to my father.
It was a nice ceremony, with Mike, the kids and me, as well as Katherine's boyfriend, Bill, my Bil John and his wife Noreen, and Noreen's brother Mike. The Deacon's name was Gary and he even asked if it was okay to call Mom "Dee." I said, yes, and that no one ever called her Dorothy. (Actually, now that I think of it, sometimes my Dad did.)
It is another chapter of life that is closed, with so many memories.
